Job seekers can aggregate social web networks in addition to building resumes and skills-based profiles to fully represent career achievements. Hiring managers can communicate directly with prospects via real-time chat or IM.

A new IT talent network from Dice, a career site for technology and engineering professionals, aims to allow tech professionals and HR recruiters to engage one another directly. The Dice Talent Network is designed to address the challenges hiring managers face in finding skilled professionals and expediting the hiring process.

The service enables an employer to build a network of career-minded tech pros who have a real interest in working for their enterprise. Real-time chat and IM functions enable employers to communicate directly with job prospects, while network-wide announcements can be used to alert the community to new positions and opportunities.

The Dice Talent Network allows technology professionals to build a distinctive online profile that aggregates the social web (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs or personal web pages) in conjunction with their resumes and skills-based profiles. This allows job seekers to present a full view of their career achievements.  The Dice Talent Network also lets technology professionals hand-pick which employers will have access to their resumes and unique profiles. Tech pros can use the network to follow and target the companies where they want to work, giving them the opportunity to proactively establish personal connections with hiring managers and recruiters.
