Apple iPhone 5


If you’re an Apple fan, chances are you’ll be buying iPhone 5 next year. The device is expected to come with a bigger display than previous versions, plus 4G connectivity, and a host of other upgrades that might just make it the top smartphone choice on the market.

Apple’s iPad 3 is rumored to be launching in early 2012. The device will reportedly boast a quad-core processor, an improved display, 4G connectivity, and more. Even better, it’ll likely start at the same $499 pricetag as iPad 2.

When Microsoft launches its new Windows 8 OS next year, you’re undoubtedly going to want to know if the software will cut it in the enterprise. Consider buying a Windows 8-based tablet for yourself to perform all your testing.

Even if you pass on the Windows 8 tablet, it will be hard for you to resist a new Windows 8 laptop or desktop. Not only will it help you to know what the operating system will offer, but it will also goes a long way toward helping you determine your enterprise product roadmap for 2013 and beyond.

Next year, Amazon is expected to show off new Kindles, including an enlarged version of its Kindle Fire. And, if the company can offer the same great price on its next devices, it won’t be long before you’ll want one.

By the end of next year, it might be difficult to find laptops that don’t fit the Ultrabook mold. These are extremely lightweight, thin, and come with enough power to take on Apple’s MacBook Air. More importantly, they might just take the notebook market by storm. We bet you’ll be dropping hundreds of dollars just to have one.

According to the latest rumors, Apple TV could launch in December 2012. And when it does, it might just prove to be the best television on the market. Will you be able to say no?

Video Streaming Services


If you aren’t already paying for video-streaming services, expect that you will be doing so next year. Companies like Netflix and Amazon continue to double down on that market, and with more content providers warming to the idea of offering their programming on those services, you might quickly find that the $7.99-per-month fee you’ll pay for Netflix is worth it.

Apps, Apps, Apps


All these smartphones and tablets mean you’ll be acquiring boatloads of applications. From business tools to games to social media, expect to be dropping cash next year in the app store of your choice.
