Your next round of hiring should include IT professionals who know their way around project management, tech-support, network oversight and security. The longstanding proof of expertise in these and other areas, of course, remains certification programs. To find out which certifications are most in demand, check out this list from Dice.com. Hiring talent with the right credentials requires significant compensation upgrades. For example, a typical project manager will earn about $104,000 a year, according to Dice.com reports. But one bearing a Project Management Professional certification will command an average of $120,000 a year. As part of its regular, monthly report, Dice.com also reveals the number of open IT jobs on its site (full and part-time opportunities) as of Feb. 1, 2012, as well as which metro areas in the U.S. offer the hottest prospects for job seekers. Dice.com is a leading jobs hub for IT professionals. Here are highlights from the survey:
