In fact, many enterprises are having troubling finding just the right tech talent to meet their changing IT needs. Job search site Indeed says it analyzed millions of job postings to compile this list of the top 10 tech job skills of 2011. Here’s what you should be looking for from your next IT job candidates.

jQuery is important in JavaScript development. The open source service helps users write code. According to Indeed, jQuery expertise is one of the key things employers are looking for in Web developers.

Although Indeed doesn’t single out a specific Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider, the research makes it clear that PaaS is becoming an important topic for employers. If you’re looking for a programmer analyst, keep this in mind.

Social media is an extremely important component in enterprise communications strategies, whether these are employee-facing or customer-facing. It’s time to seek out developers and marketing folks who know how to manage social networks--and keep communications secure while doing so.
