HP's former CEO Mark Hurd is back in the headlines with a contentious move to join Oracle. Vendors are making major strategic announcements. And, enterprise CIOs are thinking about the year ahead. The five latest hot topics to consider as you plan your strategies include the launch of Google Instant, as well as claims that Android OS and Windows Phone 7 will eventually lead the smartphone market. Security vendor Symantec, meanwhile, offers up sobering news about security in a report stating that 65 percent of Web users have been victims of cybercrime at least once.
