The week's hot topics include Google going Instant, Mark Hurd joining Oracle, scary cybercrime stats and major movement in notebooks and smartphones.

Former HP CEO Mark Hurd joins Oracle as the company's co-president. As expected, HP is taking issue with this and filed suit against Hurd for joining the company. At press time, with reports saying that HP didn't have a full-fledged non-compete agreement in place with Hurd, it looks like he will be free to run Oracle as he sees fit.
