Don’t worry—2009 is just about over. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that CIOs from organizations large and small have been telling CIO Insight that they expect 2010 to be much of the same—another year of cost cutting, productivity boosting and endless demands on IT. And a number of recent studies tell the same story.
Despite the obvious pressures of post-recession IT leadership, many prominent CIOs are focusing their strategies and looking ahead to better times. We lined up four top-flight IT leaders and asked them to describe how they’ll do that in 2010.

These first-hand perspectives focus on some of the most important things CIOs can do in the coming year. And while 2010 may not be the most fun year for IT leaders, the new year looks like it will offer an abundance of opportunities to expand their horizons.
