One way to assess your organization's ability to change is to see if it has the capabilities of high performance companies. The "Agility Diagnostic," developed by Harvard Business School professor Lynda Applegate, consultant Doug Beaven, and Elise Lelon of General Electric, is such a tool: it presents characteristics of high-performing organizations drawn from over a decade of research, and asks employees to state, on a seven-point scale, the extent to which they agree or disagree with statements that express these characteristics.
