The technologies companies are deploying and testing align closely with the top priorities for CIOs from our April 2006 “CIO Role” survey: improving IT architecture, infrastructure, and data quality in order to achieve the business goals of improving processes and making better use of information. The strong interest in team collaboration tools and business process platforms suggests CIOs turning to new applications only when they improve productivity and help users work with data.
