More than eight in 10 respondents (81 percent) say that establishing a "comprehensive" cloud strategy is a high priority for them in the next year.
Who Needs IT?
72 percent of respondents said that their business executives view the cloud as a way to be "independent of IT."
58 percent of respondents say their companies are running mission-critical, unmanaged cloud services.
More than three-quarters of respondents say that they'll support running "mission-critical workloads on unmanaged public cloud services" within the next two years.
Just Not Yet
However, only 36 percent respondents say they currently support running mission-critical workloads on unmanaged cloud services.
71 percent of respondents believe that IT should manage public cloud services.
Question of Quality
61 percent of respondents said that they simply can't offer the same quality of management across private and public services.
