A sad reality? Just 43 percent of CIOs globally claim to be involved in corporate decision-making, according to CA Technologies.

That becomes a glaring issue when one considers that 60 percent of CIOs believe that they have the requisite knowledge to handle high-level strategic decision-making.

All of that data comes down to one simple fact: 84 percent of CIOs believe that their top-level executives fail to understand the impact technology has on a company, and corporate growth suffers.

CA Technologies reveals that 37 percent of CIOs fail to believe that their companies are using IT to actually improve their businesses.

What’s worse, a whopping 33 percent of respondents say that their top-level executives view IT as an expense rather than an investment.
