Improving Security in the Public Cloud

One of the main concerns about moving data to a public cloud infrastructure is security. Ironically, a public cloud may offer better protection than housing data with on-site servers and storage devices. Leading cloud providers usually have more security expertise and make use of more current technology to protect the data on their infrastructures. Additionally, many data thefts involve employees stealing hard drives or copying data without permission, so housing data off-site at a provider’s facilities eliminates this risk.
