While overall economic projections have seesawed for at least a year, the current job forecast remains positive, according to Robert Half International. The mega-staffing firm has released its latest, quarterly "Professional Employment Report," indicating that substantially more top executives plan to hire in the fourth quarter of this year than those who intend to reduce staffing levels. The news for technology professionals also remains upbeat, with career opportunities expected to expand by the end of the year. The results are encouraging all-around and hopefully will serve as a harbinger of a better 2013 for everyone. "Executives in the United States appear to be increasingly optimistic about the growth prospects of their companies," says Max Messmer, chairman and CEO of Robert Half. "Businesses may be gearing up to support growth plans for the coming quarter and year." More than 4,000 U.S.-based C-suite level and other senior managers took part in the research.
