Apple has been saying for well over a year now that the iPad is making headway in the enterprise. In fact, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the slate is being adopted by the vast majority of Fortune 500 companies. Smaller enterprises are also warming to the device, indicating that a product initially designed for consumers can be a success in the corporate world.
That was made even clearer in a recent study from Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. The analyst's findings, which were first reported by AppleInsider and include responses from dozens of CIOs, prove loud and clear that the iPad is appealing more than ever to enterprise users. Better yet for Apple, it's doing so in a convincing manner.
Just Like Last Year Although broad deployments are up 11% this year, 42% of CIOs said they would be selective in their iPad deployments in 2012 (the same as this year).
