Doron J. Cohen
Doron Cohen had been senior vice president and chief information officer of Canada Life since March 2001. He has developed and implemented successive generations of innovative, enterprise wide organizational and technology strategies. Prior to joining Canada Life, Dr. Cohen was a Research Director of Marketing and IT Business Management with the Research and Advisory Services division of Gartner Group. His research focused on the strategic business value expectations from IT investments in the fast evolving eBusiness marketplace. Prior to joining Gartner Group in 1999, he served as the CIO of the TransCanada group of companies, where he directed the integration of diverse IT organizations across international borders, contributing to the success of the corporation's growth-by-acquisition strategy. Before joining TransCanada, Dr. Cohen served as CIO of the Kidd Creek mining company and as the Director of Computing Services for the University of Toronto. In addition to his work experience, he has served on the faculties of the Universities of Waterloo and Toronto, McGill University and the Technion.
Stephen C. Finnerty
Dell Computer Corporation
Steve Finnerty serves as vice president, Worldwide Operations IT and Procurement for Dell Computer Corporation. In this role, Mr. Finnerty is responsible for overseeing Dell's global supply chain and manufacturing systems. Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Finnerty was senior vice president and CIO for Kraft Foods North America, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and management of Kraft's North American Information Systems Organization. Previously, Mr. Finnerty was vice president of information systems and supply chain management for J.M. Huber Corporation, and he held senior-level management positions with Johnson Controls and Scott Paper. Mr. Finnerty is currently on the Board of the Society for Information Management (SIM) serving as past-president. His other affiliations have included the following organizations: Research Board, SIM Advanced Practices Council, Working Group for CIOs and The Council for Logistics Management. Mr. Finnerty graduated from Lehigh University with a Master's degree in business administration and holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Villanova University.
Hau L. Lee
Hau L. Lee is the Thoma professor of operations, information and technology at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. His areas of specialization include supply chain management, e-business, global logistics system design, inventory planning, information technology and manufacturing strategy. He is the founding and current director of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum, an industry-academic consortium to advance the theory and practice of global supply chain management. Professor Lee obtained his B.Soc.Sc. degree in economics and statistics from the University of Hong Kong, his M.Sc. degree in operational research from the London School of Economics, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in operations research from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Richard L. Nolan
Professor Nolan, the William Barclay Harding Professor of Management of Technology at Harvard University, studies and teaches business transformation and served as chairman of the business strategy consulting firm Nolan, Norton & Co., which he cofounded, from 1977 to 1991. Nolan also studies ways to help companies devise new principles to guide the management of information as a resource distinctively different from scarce, physical resources. Nolan, with IBM strategic studies director Stephan Haeckel, discussed the key ideas behind leveraging general management decisions through information technology in a groundbreaking Harvard Business Review article, "Managing by Wire," and coauthored a chapter entitled "Managing by Wire: Using IT to Transform a Business from 'Make-and-Sell' to 'Sense-and-Respond.'" That chapter was included in the 1996 book Competing in the Information Age, Strategic Alignment in Practice, by Jerry Luftman. Nolan has since written two books of his own: Creative Destruction (HBS Press 1995) and dot vertigo (Wiley and Sons, 2001), which is about the management lessons that dot-com and traditional companies have learned from incorporating the Internet into operations.
David P. Norton
Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, Inc.
David Norton is a cofounder, president & CEO of Balanced Scorecard Collaborative. Prior to BSCol, Dr. Norton cofounded and served as president of Renaissance Solutions, Inc., a Balanced Scorecard consulting firm. He was also cofounder and president of Nolan, Norton & Company. He is coauthor, with Robert S. Kaplan, of The Balanced Scorecard: Translating Strategy Into Action (Harvard Business School Publishing, 1996), and The Strategy-Focused Organization: How Balanced Scorecard Companies Thrive in the New Business Environment (Harvard Business School Publishing, 2000), and three articles on the Balanced Scorecard in Harvard Business Review. Dr. Norton earned his doctorate in business administration from Harvard University, an MBA from Florida State University, an MS in operations research from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a BS in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

John Parkinson is a vice president and chief technologist for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young LLC Americas Region. As a member of the Global Technology council and the Regional Technology Services leadership team, he sets the direction for the company's portfolio of technology consulting offerings. Mr. Parkinson has degrees in mathematics and in information sciences from Exeter University U.K. He has written and/or edited four books on information systems development, contributed more than 40 papers to conferences and journals, and spoken frequently at international meetings on such topics as innovation, e-commerce, knowledge management, emerging technologies and related topics.

Stuart Robbins is the founder and executive director of The CIO Collective, a nonprofit professional association of senior IT executives providing strategic guidance to emerging institutions and intiatives. He is also the founder of KMERA Corporation, a consulting firm specializing in knowledge management solutions. Formerly the CIO of Jamcracker Inc., Mr. Robbins is also on the CIO advisory boards for Morgan Stanley, Netscaler, Sigma Partners and Outlook ventures, and has published numerous articles and white papers on information technology.
