How Tech Teams Help Overworked Employees
Providing access to the latest tech tools to help employees do their jobs more efficiently is one way IT teams can help unburden overstressed workers.
Half of employees feel overworked, and 65% said workplace stress impacts them—to the point where 15% have taken a stress-related leave of absence.
46% said they either “usually” or “always” work more than 40 hours per week.
45% said they need to work after “normal” hours to complete tasks that they didn’t finish during the workday, and 19% said they do so to get ahead for the following day.
78% said taking a break makes them feel more productive at work.
74% said their employer does not give them access to the latest tech to help them do their job more efficiently and effectively.

56% of employees said loud co-workers distract them from doing their best work, and 47% said an influx of “people coming to talk” to them does this.
40% said email creates distractions which keep them from doing their best work, and 34% cite meetings as a cause of these distractions.
83% said having a well-stocked break room leads to happier employees, and 56% said it makes workers more productive.
73% said they consider the eco-friendliness of an office in making employment decisions, at least to some degree.
