In first-half 2010, more than 1,500 enterprises have deployed Good for Enterprise to secure and manage smart phones using either Apple’s iOS or Android platforms. Good Technology provides secure and managed enterprise mobility for iPhone, iPad, Android and other smart phones to make them suitable for access to business applications and data. iOS and Android devices have penetrated 43% of all of Good’s deployments, and nearly one-fifth of its enterprise customers are using Good for Enterprise to secure and manage three or more device platforms.
"Our employees know what devices are best for them to be the most productive in their jobs," says Alex Yanez, Telecommunications Engineer for sporting goods retailer Patagonia, in a prepared statement. "Overwhelmingly, they are choosing the iPhone and Android smartphones." Adds Michael Doyle, Senior Director of Global Messaging Services for pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis, "Mobility is an important component of our overall business strategy."
Enterprise IT departments are challenged by this growing demand from workers to connect personal smart phones to enterprise messaging and business solutions. CIOs and their teams are looking for ways to keep employees happy and productive while delivering the enterprise-class security and management that protects corporate data.
