Despite highly publicized warnings from top IT vendors about IT spending slowdowns during the past several months, the majority of CIOs are not seeing budgets decimated—at least not yet. While larger companies are taking more pronounced measures to rein in their IT spending, what appears to be happening is a reordering of priorities, with money being pulled from less essential applications and technology areas and more of it being put into areas that drive top-line growth.
