In recent weeks, our roundup of hot tech projects has yielded two notable trends: multiple instances of organizations activating bring-your-own-device policies; and a growing number of companies piloting or deploying iPad, iPhone and even iPod. Information for this feature is provided exclusively to CIO Insight by the researchers at DiscoverOrg, which provides a constantly updated database of IT prjects in Fortune-ranked and
mid-market companies.
In fact, out of the 52 hot tech projects reported between Oct. 12-Oct. 27, 10 of them involved some form of BYOD or iPhone/iPad initiatives.
The trends are consistent with the findings of our 2011 Emerging Technology Adoption Trends Study, which reveals that nine out of every 10 organizations surveyed in North America are in some stage of adopting tablets for employee use.
In fact, these dual trends are so notable, that we have decided to spotlight these 10 projects separately from our broad roundup of IT Projects: The Inside Scoop.
