Business process modeling, collective intelligence and green IT are the new technologies that will have the biggest impact on the next decade.
As part of this year’s top trends survey, we asked IT executives to predict the most important technological developments five to 10 years from now. Most of the technologies mentioned have started to make waves: business process modeling and management apps are already high-priority emerging technologies. The results indicate that the movement to environmentally friendly IT and Web 2.0 technologies such as social networking and wikis aren’t likely to be mere fads.
